AcreTrader creates products to empower its customers to buy, sell, and invest in land wisely using geospatial technology and data.
They needed to quickly bring Acres, their existing web-based land analysis tool, to a cross-platform mobile environment. At the same time, maintain a robust and accessible feature set. Lofty was brought on board to provide technical knowledge and development resources that utilize our geospatial and agricultural expertise.
Lofty built a mobile application from the ground up working in heavy collaboration with AcreTrader. We identified technological needs and ensured a solution that covers a cross-platform experience on top of the exsiting core platform and APIs.
We partnered with AcreTrader to provide strategic consulting in utilizing mobile technology such as React Native, Mapbox, and Redux. The final output was Acres: Land Data & Parcel Maps, a mobile application for iOS and Android which allows customers to access land parcels, local insights, and sales data. The mobile application syncs with the existing web application to ensure data consistency and user experience across platforms.
This project enables end-users to make informed decisions when exploring farmland, partnering well with AcreTrader's other offering - AcreTrader (company and product share a name). Using Acres (the app we made), investors can better understand an area's farmland, its value, historical use, ownership history, and more.
